The most exciting addition this year to my work thus far is the gemmy Mexican Opal.  I purchased these freeform gems at the Tucson Gem and Mineral show this year.  The intense yellows, oranges and reds only have a hint of other colors moving through them (traditional to opal) so they look incredible with the beautiful Boulder Opals from Austraila.  Here are a few pieces that were designed.
